That’s why Paramus Catholic High School is proud to offer our students the ability to enroll in an academic pathway focused on the things they’ll need to learn to thrive in law school. Our law pathway, like our other academic pathways, provides a dedicated curriculum that makes it easier for individuals with a passion and drive for a specific subject to gain the confidence they’ll need to excel after graduation.

What Does Our Law Pathway Entail?

Paramus Catholic High School offers an in-depth curriculum with a focus on what matters most to those who plan to move on to law school. Our law pathway will help you learn what it means to work in ethical law. The course load includes:

Introduction to Careers in Legal Professions
Introduction to Law and Ethics
Social Justice
US History I and II

Aside from these core classes, you’ll need to take two consecutive years of a foreign language and fill out your schedule with three electives of your choice. Options include Political Science, U.S. History III, Criminal Justice, Philosophy, and Morality Honors I or II. This allows students to shift their education toward what matters most for their future.

What Separates Our School?

As part of our academic pathway programs, our senior students will also be able to gain real-world experience through an internship. This will help them gain unparalleled job knowledge and hone important skills, giving them a leg up on the competition. We also offer access to accredited and approved courses through Apex Learning as well as online courses through the nonprofit organization VHS Learning, giving students a wide range of virtual learning options that make education even easier to fit into their busy schedules.

Aside from our specialized learning opportunities, we are excited to help students grow as people. That’s why we have plenty of clubs and student activities that are dedicated to our students’ interests. Those with a passion for law and criminal justice might like our Activism Club or Environmental Club. However, students with ideas for new clubs can always present them.
