IMPORTANT DATES
The High School Placement Test (HSPT) will be administered on Friday, November 8,2024 to 8th grade students seeking admission to participating Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Newark, the Diocese of Paterson, and Rockland County, NY.
September 1, 2024 Online registration for the November 8, 2024, opens
at www.njcoopexam.org. Registration Fee: $70.00.
September 20, 2024 Deadline for Catholic school 8th grade students to submit to
their elementary school any information requested by the school for HSPT registration
October 7, 2024 Deadline for participating Catholic elementary schools to
complete student registrations for HSPT or for students
attending participating Catholic elementary schools to register
online individually, if instructed by the school
October 18, 2024 Last day for those seeking approval for extended testing time to submit the “Eligibility Form for Extended Testing Time” and required documentation. See the Eligibility Formfor information about mailing or emailing the completed form. Students applying for extended time must register for the HSPT at www.njcoopexam.org by October 25, 2024
October 25, 2024 Last day to register for the November 8, 2024, HSPT
November 1-6, 2024 Test site admission letters distributed to those registered to take the HSPT
November 8, 2024 HSPT administered to students (8:00 a.m.–11:45 a.m.).
For students with extended time accommodation (8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.)
November 16, 2024 Makeup test for students registered for the November 8th test but unable to attend testing on November 8th due to illness or other unexpected circumstances. The make-up test will be administered at several testing sites.
December 4, 2024 Ninth Grade Applicant Records due in high schools
January 8, 2025 Scholastic Testing Services sends HSPT results to students
January 17, 2025 High School decision notifications sent to applicants
