Aquinas Scholars Program:

The Paramus Catholic Aquinas Scholars Program is a rigorous, challenging sequence of courses designed for highly motivated and academically gifted students. Entrance into the program is by invitation only, as determined by performance on both the Archdiocesan admissions exam, Paramus Catholic’s scholarship exam, and academic achievement in grades seven and eight. All who participate in the program will receive a substantial scholarship which is renewable, as long as they remain in the program. Aquinas Scholars complete and exceed the graduation requirements. The Aquinas Program includes Honors or AP classes in all subject areas except one. Aquinas Scholars will participate in a special interdisciplinary seminar in their senior year. Once the requirements of the program are met, the student has the opportunity to choose from a variety of electives.

Paramus Catholic is proud of its affiliation with Seton Hall University's Project Acceleration program. PC students are afforded the opportunity of earning up to 22 college credits from Seton Hall for our approved courses taken at PC. These credits may be transferred to certain other colleges and universities. The following have been approved by Seton Hall University for college credit: AP Spanish Language, AP Spanish Literature, Spanish IV Honors, AP European History, AP Physics, AP English, AP Biology, AP Psychology, and Anatomy and Physiology Honors. The following courses are pending approval from Seton Hall: AP United States History II, AP Human Geography/World Religions (Aquinias Honors Seminar), and Political Science.

Assisted Learning Program:

Paramus Catholic has an assisted learning program. Our Learning Specialist will develop individualized learning resources for students selected for this program. Special support and resources to succeed in the school’s general curriculum will be provided through regular sessions with the Learning Specialist. Remediation will also be offered through use of an interactive computer lab.
