In December 2008, Paramus Catholic implemented the Honeywell Instant Alert System for distribution of informational, emergency, and weather related announcements to parents/guardians.  This system allows for our entire school community to be notified in minutes and allows for families to choose how they will receive the notifications.  One or more home phones, cell phones, email addresses, and/or text addresses can be added to receive important information.

Honeywell has imported the current information maintained by Paramus Catholic into their system based on student name and birthday.  For new Paramus Catholic families, only the household home phone number from the current school database is on file with Honeywell.  Upon receipt of this letter, parents should follow the accompanying instructions to add/update any additional contact numbers, electronic notifications, and emergency contacts.  Returning families who did not register and update in Honeywell system last year are urged to do so at this time as well.

Coaches and activity moderators will also be able to use this system to get important information to students and parents/guardians as needed.  As parents/guardians go through the registration process, be aware of any activities the student(s) may be involved in and designate the appropriate contact number to receive these notifications.

It is important to note that this system will be used for outgoing emergency and informational contact.  Paramus Catholic will NOT use this as a resource for parents/guardians to update personal information, as a method to establish additional contacts to pick students up from school, or to handle custodial issues.  All personal information changes, including phone number updates, should still be made directly to the main office.
